Nestle India Names Nitu Bhushan as New HR Chief
  • Nitu Bhushan to join Nestlé India as Head of Human Resources
  • Company announces multiple senior leadership changes
  • Moves come amid rising competition in packaged foods

Nestle India has appointed Nitu Bhushan, former Chief Human Resources Officer at Pernod Ricard, as its new Head of Human Resources. The company said in a stock exchange filing that Bhushan will take charge effective March 2, 2026.

The appointment was handled by global executive search firm Egon Zehnder International, with the India board not directly involved in the selection process, according to sources. Bhushan brings extensive experience across consumer goods and financial services, having held senior leadership roles at Abbott, Mondelez, and HSBC, as per her LinkedIn profile.

Alongside Bhushan’s appointment, Nestle India announced key leadership transitions across finance and technical functions. Svetlana Boldina, Executive Director - Finance and Control and Chief Financial Officer, will move to a new role within a Nestle affiliate and step down from her India role effective January 31, 2026. The company said her successor will be named in due course.

In another change, Satish Srinivasan, Executive Director - Technical, will retire on May 31, 2026. Nestlé India has named Jagdeep Singh Marahar as his successor. Marahar will join as Whole-Time Director starting June 1, 2026, and will be designated Head - Technical as part of the leadership transition.

These appointments come at a time when legacy FMCG players such as Nestlé, ITC, and Hindustan Unilever face intensifying competition from regional, local, and direct-to-consumer brands, putting pressure on growth and market share.

Globally, Nestlé SA has also been undergoing a restructuring. In October, the Swiss food major announced plans to cut 16,000 jobs over two years as part of a broader push to improve performance and focus on high-return products.

The leadership changes in India follow the recent appointment of Manish Tiwary as Managing Director and Chairman of Nestlé India, after his move from Amazon.
