Know The Diverse Ways In Which Dussehra Is Celebrated Across India

North India

The festivities of Dussehra in Northern India are vivacious and spirited. North Indian states celebrate the festival by keeping up with mythological accounts as per the holy Hindu book. In most parts of north India, the victory of King Rama over the ten-headed demon Raavana is celebrated in the event called Ramleela. The characters in the occasion are simple epitomes of good and evil. At the end of ten days of the battle, like in the mythological series of events, huge dolls of the demon Raavana are burnt in all neighborhoods.

In Himachal Pradesh, Dushera is a significant festival. This northern state’s people engage themselves with great zeal and it is celebrated grandly in Dhalpur maidan in the Kullu valley.
