5. Pakistan:
Pakistan has become increasingly dangerous for journalist to work. As per the report, at least one journalist is killed almost in a monthly basis since February 2010 in Pakistan. Just in 2012 about 9 journalists and one media assistant have been killed, adding to the present atrocity in Pakistan. There are many life-threatening challenges for the journalists in the country as they encounter situations like terrorist threats, local potentates with unlimited powers and it includes police violence and deadly conflicts in the tribal areas, which adds to the risky roads they travel to dig out information.

4. India:
With 13 journalists’ death in 2013, India has has emerged as the fourth most dangerous country for journalists. Since last year, many journalists have lost their lives in this country, as in war-torn nation like Syria.
In one of the incidents in India, Nemi Chand Jain, a reporter from Chhattisgarh, found dead in February 2013 with his throat slit and a note clipped to his belt accusing him of being a police informer.
As per the INSI report, seven journalists were murdered in India but none of the killings had been thoroughly investigated. Of these, two were killed while covering communal violence and four died in accidents while on assignment.
