Havells Names Manjit Sethi as President of Cables Business

Havells India has appointed Manjit Singh Sethi as President - Cables, strengthening leadership at a time when the company’s cables business is showing consistent growth. Sethi brings more than three decades of experience in the electrical and power industry, with a strong track record of building and scaling large businesses.

Before joining Havells, Sethi held senior leadership roles at ABB India, now known as Hitachi Energy, and KEC International. In these roles, he led transformer and cable businesses, focused on profitable expansion, and executed large renewable EPC strategies. His experience spans operations, strategy, and execution across complex and competitive markets.

An electrical engineer from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, Sethi also holds an M.Tech in Management Studies from IIT Delhi. His academic background, combined with deep industry exposure, positions him well to lead Havells’ cables business through its next phase of growth.

The appointment comes as Havells’ cables segment continues to perform steadily. In the second quarter of FY26, the business posted a 12 percent year-on-year growth, with revenues rising to Rs 2,028 crore from Rs 1,805 crore in the same period last year. The segment remains a key contributor to the company’s overall performance.

Havells said Sethi’s leadership will help strengthen its position in the cables market, drive operational excellence, and support long-term growth plans. With rising demand from infrastructure, housing, and renewable energy projects, the company expects the cables business to play a critical role in its future strategy.
