Google's Gemini 3 Launches With a Search-First AI Boost
  • Google launches Gemini 3 and embeds it into Search on day one.
  • The new AI model powers multiple revenue-generating products at launch.
  • Premium users gain access to advanced Gemini 3 features through AI Mode.

Google has officially launched Gemini 3, its newest AI model, and integrated it into Google Search from the moment of release. The company aims to strengthen its lead in the fast-moving AI market while boosting revenue across major products. Executives say the upgrade sets a new benchmark for delivering advanced AI capabilities to users more quickly than before.

Arriving just 11 months after Gemini 2, the latest version positions Google strongly in the AI race. Company leaders highlighted Gemini 3’s top-tier performance across widely used industry benchmarks. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, called it “our most intelligent model” in a blog post.

But the competition in AI has shifted from technical benchmarks to real-world commercial value. Investors are watching closely for signs of sustainable growth in the AI sector, especially as concerns about overhyped AI valuations grow. Alphabet’s stock has benefited this year, driven largely by AI-driven gains in its cloud business.

Google stressed that Gemini 3 stands out because it is already powering multiple consumer and enterprise products at launch. Koray Kavukcuoglu, Google’s chief AI architect, said the company is moving faster than ever in releasing and deploying new models.

For the first time, Google has integrated its latest model into the search engine immediately, shortening a process that previously took weeks or months. Subscribers to Google’s premium AI plan will access Gemini 3 through AI Mode, which delivers AI-generated responses for complex searches instead of traditional web links.
