Arvind Bodhankar Named AMNS India's Chief Sustainability Officer
In a strategic move to bolster its commitment to environmental sustainability, AMNS India announced the appointment of Arvind Bodhankar as its Chief Sustainability Officer, starting February 17. Bodhankar, who previously held the position of Executive Director - ESG & Chief Risk Officer at Dalmia Bharat Group, is tasked with leading AMNS India's sustainability drive. His role will focus on outlining and executing strategies for decarbonization, minimizing environmental impacts, and advancing the company's climate goals.
During his tenure at Dalmia Bharat Group, Bodhankar spearheaded sustainability and risk management initiatives, including renewable energy, circular economy practices, carbon capture technology, and green building projects. His expertise in these areas is anticipated to be pivotal for AMNS India as the company aims to reduce its emissions intensity by 20 percent by the year 2030.
Bodhankar will report directly to Wim Van Gerven, the Chief Operating Officer of AMNS India. Van Gerven expressed confidence in Bodhankar's capabilities, highlighting his extensive experience and expertise in sustainability and risk management. "Arvind Bodhankar will be instrumental in driving our sustainability agenda forward as we pursue growth strategies to meet the evolving needs of our nation", Van Gerven stated. This appointment underscores AMNS India's dedication to environmental stewardship and its commitment to contributing positively to the global fight against climate change.
