U.S. Economic Delegation to Visit India



NEW DELHI: A delegation of senior U.S. officials will be visiting India to discuss ways to bolster the bilateral economic partnership.

The delegation, which is scheduled to be in India from July 12 to 18, would be visiting New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Arun M Kumar, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, would lead the American economic delegation, according to a press release issued by the U.S. embassy.

Senior officials from the Department of Commerce, the Office of the United States Trade Representative and the Department of State would be part of the group.

"The delegation will discuss with senior officials of the Government of India a broad array of topics aimed at growing the U.S.-India commercial relationship," the release said.
