Politics, Not Women's Cup of Tea?

Bangalore: Women in every part of the world, even in the most advanced countries or the most underdeveloped economies have one thing in common, and that is -they know less about politics compared to men. As such they have very limited time to get acquainted with the worldly information and also are hardly interested to know it.

According to a study on ten nations funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) on media system and national political knowledge, it has been revealed that women are less informed when it comes to political news or about politics as compared to men, as reported Emily Dugan for The Independent.

The study was carried out in Australia, Canada, Colombia, Greece, Italy, Japan, Korea, Norway, the UK and the U.S. based on men and women’s knowledge of domestic and international news as well as the current affairs.

Researchers from surveyed countries were surprised to know that men and women have unbelievable gender gaps when it comes to current affairs as men are still in the limelight as the leaders whereas women are the ignored ones who are always away from the public life.
