PFS, US Energy Body Tie-Up To Train Hydropower



NEW DELHI: Infrastructure finance company PTC India Financial Services (PFS) and the US Energy Association will launch training programmes for senior executives from SAAR Cnations working on hydropower projects. 

The agreement signing is under the United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) South Asia Regional Programme for Energy Integration (SARI/EI), PFS said in a statement. 

As per the agreement, PFS and USEA will jointly conduct capacity building training programmes for senior executives from SAARC nations on the techno-economic appraisal and financial analysis of Hydropower projects. 

"We are delighted to partner with USAID and USEA to share our experience and expertise in the field of hydropower projects for this comprehensive training programme", said Ashok Haldia, Managing Director & CEO, PFS. 

"Hydropower projects are critical for power generation in a number of SAARC countries like India,Nepal and Bhutan and we are confident that our training modules will translate into significant value for SAARC nation executives," he added.
