Meet Modi's Core 'Budget' Team of Top Officials

BENGALURU: The Great Indian budget is the most complicated draft after the Constitution of India. Budget is what defines the fortunes of a common man and the big businessmen equally. Finance Minister Arun Jaitely will draft the budget document that is to be read by him on the 28th of February. Budget—2015 will lay down the framework of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government’s economic rejuvenation plan.

A core team of trusted officials are given the responsibility to work in tandem with Arun Jaitely to draft a well laid out budget that reflects Modi’s vision for India. This budget is going to be a complex task for these economists who have to adhere to the targets set by the 14th Finance Commission and also adjusts for the absence of the Planning Commission. The Core Team is Modi’s pseudonym for the erstwhile Planning Commission.
