The giant networking site observed back in October how its users flooded the website walls in the time of calamity. Considering that Facebook launched a new feature namely “Safety Check”. Facebook accesses your location to find out if you have been caught up by the disaster. The site sends a push message confirming of your safety. If you respond to the message your friends get notified of your safety.  "It's moments like this that being able to connect really matters," said Mark Zukerberg, founder, Facebook.
