IIT-JEE (Mains) Results Bring Joy to Bengaluru


BENGALURU: The declaration of IIT-JEE (Mains) results brought lots of cheers for “The City of Gardens” as many Bengaluru students have cleared the exam with first class marks. It is on this occasion that Deccan Herald (DH) has shed some light into the personal details and aspiration of these bright students. Let us take a look at it.

Arindam A Bhattacharya from Bengaluru secured the top position in the state with a score of 311 out of 360. The four-year classroom program in FIITJEE Bangalore Centre acted as a base for this brilliant guy to come out with flying colors.

Milind Kumar Vaddiraju from BASE Bengaluru got 308 out of 360 marks. He accredits his grand result to his consistent studies for four to five hours a day.

A student of Sardar Patel PU College, Vaddiraju reported to DH about aspiring for a seat at IIT Mumbai in Engineering Physics and then moving to abroad for higher studies. “Going forward, I will focus on preparing for the advanced examination,” says Vaddiraju.

All along, Devansh Sharma of Deeksha Networks scored 305 out of 360. Acknowledging the efforts put by his teachers, Sharma said, “My mentors acted as my backbone. Moreover, I had solved 15-20 mock test papers, a week before the exam that helped me immensely.”

Other toppers from the city are: Rahul B S (303), Shishir G (295), Anvitha S (294), Akshay Krishna (281), Chinmay M Dharmendra (291), Abhishek S B (255), and Preetham Venkatesh (254).

The students who clear the IIT-JEE advanced will be eligible to get seats in the top engineering institutes like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and the National Institutes of Technology (NIT) based on their ranks. On the other hand, students who face inability in clearing the JEE Advanced can seek admission in other engineering colleges such as Indian Institute of Information Technology, and other government and private engineering colleges. Selection to other engineering colleges will be completed on the basis of a cumulative score of 40 percent of the normalised marks a student attains in the XII Board exams and 60 percent of marks obtained in JEE-Mains.
