Place: Koovagam, Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu
This festival is observed by transgenders in Koovagam village in the Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. Lord Koothandavar is regarded as husband by these transgenders and on a particular day, the lord is worshipped. The festival is observed to pay honor the forfeiture of Aravan (Koothandavar), the son of Padav Arju. People from across India and neighboring countries throng this village to be a part of the festival.
