The Special Service Groups (SSG)

SSG is a special force from Pakistan, also known as “Black Storks” because of the Commando’s unique headgear “Maroon Beret”. These troops were formed in 1956 and are trained rigorously. The training included 36-mile march in 12 hours and a 5-mile run in 50 minutes in full gear. SSG is considered to be one of the best forces because of the bravery and courage. Following are the missions that SSG is trained for— Asymmetric Warfare, Special Operations, Counter-Proliferation, Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense, Special Reconnaissance, Direct Action, Hostage Rescue, Counter-Terrorist and Personnel Recovery.
