8 Futuristic Infrastructure Projects That Will Change The Way We Commute

Bangalore: To imagine a life without the access of transportation is quite difficult. It is through the means of transport, people moves from one place to another and instill the goodness of different cultures into them. So, most of the emerging nations are shelling out their expenditures on building transport infra projects.

Let’s take a sneak peak at the world’s most important and magnificent ongoing transport infrastructure developments as compiled by Global Infrastructure Leadership Forum Conference-

1. Hyderabad Metro, India:

The Hyderabad Metro system soaring high above hectic inner-city traffic, is expected to provide daily transport for up to 1.7 million of the southern Indian city's residents by 2017. It is a $2.1 billion project that will provide 72 kilometers of elevated track with stations in every one kilometer. As stated by the developers, the system will improve journey times, reduce traffic on roads and provide an eco-friendly mass transport alternative to polluting car or bus journeys.

NVS Reddy, managing director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd. Said, “We are doing it as a total system connected to the main rail, bus depots and the local rail,” reports Global post.

“Bicycle tracks, sidewalks, skywalks — these are all going to be part of the system. So we’re not looking at Hyderabad Metro as [just] a single transit system. We’re asking, ‘How do we make use of this project as an opportunity to redesign [Hyderabad] as a people-friendly, eco-friendly city?’” added Reddy
