7 Great Indian Scientists and Their Contributions

Srinivasa Ramanujan:

Srinivasa Ramanujan, a veteran name in the Indian mathematics, even without receiving formal education in mathematics. He is known for his major contributions to the analysis, game theory and infinite series. Ramanujam worked on developing his own theory in mathematics, which, subsequently started to get recognition from the Indian scientists back then.

He later partnered with the G. H. Hardy for later research, in his short course of research he compiled 3,900 results and most of them are proven correct. Relatively Ramanujan prime and the Ramanujan theta functions have been considered best among his works.

 Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman:

Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, the great Indian scientist, with his immense amount of involvement in field physics, earned the Nobel Prize. Raman discovered the light scattering and explained that when light traverses a transparent material, some of the deflected light changes in wavelength.  As a result, he was announced as the Nobel Prize laureate in 1930 and was honored with the Bharat Ratna in 1954.
