The 16th Annual Global CEO Survey by accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers asked 1,400 CEOs from around the world "which leaders they most admired, and what they most admired about their actions". The leaders were named from literature or history who exhibited good leadership. Here are the top 5 leaders that CEOs admire the most.

Winston Churchill:
Winston Churchill was the most popular choice of CEOs globally and takes the first position on the list. Churchill is best known for his leadership of the United Kingdom during the Second World War and is also widely regarded as one of the greatest wartime leaders of the 20th century. The survey said the CEOs regarded him as a leader through adversity.

A noted statesman and orator, Churchill was also an officer in the British Army, a writer, a historian and an artist. Churchill has wide appeal and regard across Western Europe.
