Who can nominate

University professors, lawmakers, previous Nobel laureates and the committee members themselves are all eligible to submit their nominations for the Nobel Prizes.

Selections

The Nobel Committee prepares reports based on the advice of experts in the relevant fields. The report along with the list of preliminary candidates is submitted to the prize awarding institutions and they choose the laureate in each field by voting. As soon as the laureate gets the majority vote, the award announced before press.

There is lot of secrecy maintained in the process and of course, the process should not be revealed by the judges until 50 years of time is passed by.
