Bangalore: Suicide which is considered as a mysterious act is often committed by those people who are mentally and emotionally disturbed.  Suicide is a social and very serious issue of most the countries in the world. India ranks at the 47^th position, according to 2011 World Health Organization (WHO) Report, It is seen that 20 percent are Indians among half a million suicides reported worldwide every year

The lists of top 10 countries with the highest suicide rates are as follows:-

1. Greenland:

Greenland is today a country with the highest percentage of suicide rate in the world. So, this act of self inflicted death is considered as one of the most important social issues of the nation as 107 per 100, 000 person die from it every year. The Government also suggests that at least one case of suicide is found every week. The rate of suicide is found to be higher in men than women aged between 15 to 24 years. In Greenland, the suicide rate decreases with age unlike other western countries.
