Vishal Dadlani's New Track 'Jugni' is about Living Life to the Fullest

Vishal Dadlani has dropped the new track 'Jugni', which breaks into the anthem of living life at its best. Warner Music India's highly-awaited folk music project, Maati (Season 1), moves to yet another exciting step as it unfolds its fourth track titled 'Jugni', a rock-Bhangra fusion crooned by Dadlani.

The foot-tapping peppy number brings together the talents of three powerhouse artists: Vishal, a rock icon; Varun Grover, a lyricist; and Achint, a composer. This song gets infused with the energy of rock and roll and the spirit of Punjabi folk music, producing the perfect anthem for life, freedom, and limitless energy.

Talking about the song Vishal Dadlani shares, "Loved the idea of doing a song about the spirit of life. Felt very rock and roll. Varun's lyrics really resonated with me, and Achint's music was carefree and fun. Big shoutout to Achint and Parth at Night Song Records for partnering with Warner Music India to do a fun project like this".

As the producer Achint says, "Actually, it was really a moment to have the India indie hero Vishal Dadlani be a part of this track. I do go on about Varun Grover's writing genius. Parth & I have an idea to make it rock & roll, and everything around us really clicked with Varun's writing and Vishal's voice".

As with all Punjabi lyrics Varun Grover deeply enjoys writing, what he found interesting about this composition was that it was definitely not a typical Punjabi pop number, which made it exciting for him to write. He says: "Like many of my songs, this too was written on a flight. There was turbulence mid-flight, and I thought, 'What if this is the last song I write?' It celebrates a free spirit, haha".

'Jugni' is the latest addition to Maati. After 'Bordoisila', bringing Assamese roots to modern rock, the Tamil track 'Style', all full of confidence and carefree vibes, and 'Bawla', a Rajasthani folk, disco, and funk cocktail, the album completes its rich musical journey.
