Khayyam: A True Musical Master-Class

Chin-O-Arab-Hamara (Phir Subah Hogi – 1958)

The song was popular and controversial at the same time as it was mocking on the condition of India and the Nehruvian politics. Khayyam’s work for the movie was considered as rich and beautiful by most of the pundits. The song was a parody in Iqbal’s song ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’. The lyrics were penned by Sahir Ludhianvi and the voice was lent by Mukesh, Mohammad Rafi, and Asha Bhosle.
