Michael Dell Reveals His Investment Plans in India

Bangalore: Michael Dell, the famous PC pioneer, has revealed his intentions to invest in India and other emerging nations, only if his plan to privatize the company succeeds, reports TOI.

According to a new memo send across to his employees, Dell founder Michael Dell explained his views on substantiating his visions for “long-term success” and that he would “invest for growth” and compete aggressively in new emerging markets. The document was cased within the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dell said that he would hire more personnel and "invest for growth in the PC and tablet business to enhance ability to compete.”

"While Dell's strategy in the PC business has been to maximize gross margins, following the transaction, we expect to focus instead on maximizing revenue and cash flow growth with the goal of improving long-term sales and competitive positioning."
