Windows 8 To Support Key Enterprise Security Needs

Bangalore: The tech world has been going fanatical since Microsoft announced its Windows Phone 8, couple of days ago.  Said to be codenamed “Apollo”, the Windows Phone 8 will be working under the same platform as Windows 8 OS and along with same graphics and 3D drivers. Now recently Microsoft made an announcement that the Windows Phone 8 will also provide support to enterprises in security.

Features like IPv6, on-device encryption, MDM and secure boot are just some of the apps that are going to support the enterprises. Also Microsoft is thinking to launch a mobile office version, based on Windows RT Office version. One of the vice president’s of Microsoft, Joe Belfiore said that Microsoft is thinking to unify all the versions of Windows 8 from all platforms. So every app will be developed under the core OS Windows 8. This idea is similar to Apple’s development of apps under the same core called OS X across all platforms like iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

Also reports say that the Windows Phone 8 will feature additional features like Near Field Communications- a wireless transfer service and Wi-Fi Direct connections. Along with that Microsoft has introduced certain applications that can be used using credit card and loyalty card details.

Another feature is that the Windows Phone 8 is going to feature the same explorer, Internet Explorer 10- along with the same JavaScript engine so that users can render alike in all metro devices. According to analysts, the first Windows 8 phone is set to launch before Christmas, likely November.
