And now the company has taken one more step ahead as they have appointed a new managing director of global technology R&D, and overall, he is an Indian. Yes, meet Prith Banerjee- the shining Indian prodigy who is now the managing director of global technology R&D at Accenture.

Prith Banerjee- The Innovative Indian Genius:

Prith Banerjee, born on 1960 in Khartoum, Sudan, is an Indian American academic and computer scientist. At school, Banerjee outshined his colleagues in studies. In 1981, he received his B.Tech degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, shortly followed by Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 1984 and 1982 respectively.

Banerjee began his career in academia, in which he served 22 years. During his stint as a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Northwestern, the fact that the technologies used by he and his colleagues didn’t worked well with others got him frustrated. But later on the frustration turned out into motivation as Banerjee saw the gates of pure prospects and opportunities opened right before him.
