Reliance Offers Free National Roaming On its New Plans



BANGALORE: Reliance brings out free roaming tariffs intending to attract more corporate, small and medium business enterprise users. With the ‘one India, one rate’ plans, customers can make calls on roaming with being charged as per their home billing plans and no extra roaming rates anywhere within India, as reported by Times of India.

On the one India, one rate plans, the prepaid plan starts from 45 offering local, STD and roaming calls at 40 paise per minute. The incoming is free on roaming with the validity for 30 days. Reliance offers two postpaid plans- 350 and 599 plan. The 350 plan includes 700 minutes of free outgoing calls with 1GB of data, 40 paise per minute is charged for each call after the free usage along with 200 minutes of free incoming national roaming. On the other hand, with the 599 plan, 1200 minutes of free calls is offered and 30 paise is charged per minute after it. This plan offers unlimited free national roaming and 2GB of free data.

However, both the plans offer 100 free text messages and the company says the plans are not just intended to target roamers but also the non- roamers.

"The 'One India, One Rate' plans will help us attract customers in the high-value corporate and SME roaming segments," Gurdeep Singh, chief executive officer, consumer business, Reliance Communications Limited, said in a statement.

"RCom's 'One India, One Rate' plans will help us break down the tariff barriers and extend unprecedented benefits to our roaming customers," Singh added.
