New U.S. Immigration Bill Sounds Doom To Indian IT Cos


Bangalore: Recently White House celebrated the Diwali with touch of Bollywood, and the first lady of U.S. did shake a leg to the tunes. The much loved India Caucus in the US House of Representatives organized the first-ever Diwali celebrations in Capitol Hill. Nevertheless the celebrations had no affect on the severity the new U.S. immigration bill holds that can decimate or reduce the Indian IT companies next to nothing, reports Economic Times.       

U.S. is the biggest market for Indian IT industry, contributing over 60 percent of its revenue. In the current financial year the services exported were worth $75 billion. The immigration bill called HR 15 could sound doom to Indian IT companies and is one of the most anti-India pieces of legislation. Of the 135 members of the India Caucus, 63 have not only supported the bill but also co-sponsored it in a measure of serious support.
