Is Infosys, Wipro's Growth Hurting the Indian SMB Sector?

Bangalore: It was crystal clear, that the past couple of quarters saw Indian SMBs grab the upper hand as large enterprises had to admit their slower revenue growth. But recently things have started to come into an overhaul.  The pace has slowed; SMBs are now exhausted, as bigger companies are growing at a larger pace. And this trend will continue for a while, reports TOI.

The nosedive is now quiet persistent. Companies who did potentially well in the first couple of quarters are falling apart. Persistent Systems, Hexaware and KPIT Cummins all were star performers in the first couple of quarters, but in the December quarter these companies has taken a huge beating in terms of revenue. And according to analysts, the situation will only marginally better itself in coming quarter.

Even for a company like Mahindra Satyam, regarded as a mid-sized-corporate, things aren’t going well. The company did well in the first and second quarter, but when it came to the third quarter it was all topsy-turvy. And now the fourth quarter is not expected to be much better.
