Apple, IBM Join Hands To Transform Enterprise Mobility


BANGALORE:  Apple joining hands with IBM? It’s like summer joining winter this December. The two old bitter rivals have officially announced to team up to transform enterprise mobility by combining IBM’s big data and analytics capabilities to iPhone and iPad.

This strategic partnership will enter a new phase of business where IBM will transfer over 150 IT apps and tools to Apple; also it will be worth watching IBM to sell Apple iPhones and iPad to its business clients all over the world.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO said in a press release, “iPhone and iPad are the best mobile devices in the world and have transformed the way people work with over 98 percent of the Fortune 500 and over 92 percent of the Global 500 using iOS devices in their business today,”. “For the first time ever we’re putting IBM’s renowned big data analytics at iOS users’ fingertips, which opens up a large market opportunity for Apple. This is a radical step for enterprise and something that only Apple and IBM can deliver.”

Apple and IBM have agreed to join forces so as to provide an enhanced level of devices, services and therefore exploiting the full potential of mobility. For this purpose the engineers, designers and developers are on a continuous run to provide more than 100 end-to-end mobile solutions, giving birth to a new category of mobile apps.

The motive to serve a specific industry need, and their complete focus on is on cloud software services for analytics, data security and device management native to develop integrated apps for iOS.
