Apple instigated this battle when it sued Taiwan-based HTC for 20 infringements in patents related to user-interface and operating system. Apple also filed a complaint against the Android software behind HTC’s platform with US International Trade Commission. The International Commission, thus, imposed a stay on imports of HTC’s infringing phones: One-X and EVO 4G LTE. Apple has also asked The International Commission to take emergency actions against 25 HTC devices. The potential settlement is being sought out through meetings between the two companies.
