Meena Bindra, always had the passion of designing cloths. This led her to start her own textile business in 1985, with just 8000 as the capital, that was enough for buying the materials/ fabrics and to appoint a tailor.

A business that was started as a hobby soon became a business which started selling ready-to-wear women’s clothing which are fashionable and are available at affordable prices. BIBA has a wide variety of stylish Mix-n-Match cloths as well.

In 2004, Biba had its first retail outlet in Orbit and CR2 mall in Mumbai and today BIBA has 87 stores across India and plans to reach 150 stores by 2013. In 2012, the annual revenue was 300 crore. Meena Bindra says that "I never imagined it when I started... Now, I feel we can grow to any height, even become a global brand”.
