Advice to Women: When you are passionate about something, you won't leave
Nina Lekhi failed her textile designing course at Mumbai’s Sophia Polytechnic, but it didn’t stop her as she believed that “Failure is the stepping stone to success.” This made her more focused to achieve something in life.
At the age of 18, Nina Lekhi started making and selling canvas bags. Later when the demand for her bags increased, she started it as a small business firm with capital of just
7000 which she took it from her mother.
After a few years, she started her retail outlets in Mumbai. By 2006-07, Baggit had a turnover of
7 Crore with up to 500 staff members. And in the year 2012 Baggit’s annual sales was worth
34 crore. In an interview Nina Lekhi said that, "I followed the path of the inner search. The most important things in life for me are peace and joy - not the pursuit of money." These have kept her going.
