Uber India Launches B2B Logistics Service with ONDC
  • Uber India launches Uber Direct, its first B2B logistics service
  • Initially serving grocery deliveries, with plans for restaurants and e-commerce
  • ONDC partnership allows businesses to access Uber’s delivery network without owning a fleet

Uber India has entered the B2B logistics market with the launch of Uber Direct, its first business-to-business delivery service in India, through a partnership with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The service allows merchants on the ONDC platform to connect seamlessly with Uber’s delivery network, offering businesses an easy way to manage deliveries without maintaining their own fleet.

At launch, Uber Direct is handling grocery deliveries for clients such as Zepto and KPN Farm Fresh, and the company plans to expand into restaurant deliveries, e-commerce logistics, and other categories across multiple cities. This marks Uber’s expansion beyond ride-hailing and parcel services, catering to the rising demand for enterprise logistics solutions in India.

Uber India & South Asia President Prabhjeet Singh said, “Uber Direct is a plug-and-play solution that allows businesses to tap into our delivery network efficiently and reliably, reducing operational costs while reaching more customers”.

Uber already runs courier services through Uber Courier and Uber Courier X, which have gained traction among small businesses and individual consumers nationwide. The ONDC partnership also enables new features on the Uber app, such as metro ticket booking, expanding Uber’s role from mobility services to a broader digital commerce platform.

With Uber Direct, Indian businesses now have a scalable, reliable logistics solution that leverages Uber’s existing network, helping them meet growing delivery demands efficiently and cost-effectively.
