Uber Enhances Airport Travel in Kolkata with AAI Partnership
Uber has unveiled a strategic alliance with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, West Bengal. The collaboration establishes specific pickup zones within the arrival terminal for both domestic and international flights, accompanied by on-site support and clear directional signage, streamlining the journey for passengers.
Having inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AAI in April 2023, Uber has expanded its services across over 10 AAI Airports. Notably, cashless operations have been introduced at NSCBI Airport in partnership with Omega Enterprises. This initiative eliminates parking and pickup charges for Uber drivers, leading to reduced estimated arrival times (ETAs) for riders ensuring seamless airport transfers.
Shiva Shailendran, Director of Supply Operations at Uber India and South Asia, expressed the company's commitment to reshaping the travel experience. Shailendran highlighted the collaborative effort with the Airports Authority of India, emphasizing the goal of delivering an enhanced experience for both drivers and riders. The focus remains on providing a consistently exceptional experience whenever individuals choose Uber for their city-to-airport or airport-to-city transportation needs.
The partnership aims to furnish arriving passengers in Kolkata with dependable and stress-free transportation alternatives, reflecting Uber's dedication to optimizing the overall travel experience.
