ZTE Corporation is another China-based multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company and it is headquartered in Shenzhen, China. This company has bounced up two spots this year to 7^th Rank from 9^th with the 12.5 million units of handsets manufactured.

That numbers under this company hold the global share of 3.5 percent. The bounce up was possible because of their devices supporting two OS – Android and Firefox.

6. Xiaomi

The world's 3rd largest Smartphone distributor, Xiaomi slips from 5^th to Rank 6. Despite of good publicity and record sales, still Xiaomi fails to produce handsets in large number. This year the company produced almost 15 million units and that brings them the global market share of 4.4 percent. The dip in the ranking may be due their devices just support Android OS.
