Obama Lays A Boulevard of Dreams Before India


The Hotline Link: Delhi and Washington have decided to establish a hotline link between the President of the United States and Prime Minister of India and also the both national security advisors. This shows a greater frequency in the pace at which the relations are running.

Obama sheds $4 Billion for New Initiatives and Trade Missions: Obama announced $4 billion to boost trade and investment in the country.Obama At India US Business Meet This is also to push the employment opportunities in the country. Apart from this Obama opened a whole new source of financing for social development ventures in India through India Diaspora Investment Initiative. The U.S. Trade Development Agency announced $2 billion off the total $4 billion to leverage financing for renewable energy. And $1 billion to the SMEs across India through Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Also a separate $1 billion would be financed from U.S. Export and Import Bank to support ‘Made in America’ exports to India. U.S. trade missions in India will basically focus on Infrastructure development in rail, roads, ports and airports.
