IPL Fiasco: Dhoni's Stake In Sports Marketing Firm Raise Suspicion
Bangalore: Pacer R P Singh denied being managed by Rhiti Sports, the sports marketing firm in which Indian cricket captain M S Dhoni has a 15 percent stake, raising questions of a possible conflict of interest.
An Economic Times article reported, “a 15 percent stake bought by Dhoni earlier this year in the sports marketing firm (Rhiti Sports Management) that manages him has spawned a tangled web of business associations, raising issues of propriety and conflict of interest in at least two situations.”
Though Dhoni’s buying 15 percent stake in Rhiti Sports Management is not a crime but when other players like Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Pragyan Ojha and RP Singh are also managed by the firm, questions definitely crop up.
