U.S. Business Groups Calls Indian Trade Practices 'Unacceptable'

Bangalore: Some of the Indian trade practices seemed to be very much unacceptable by the U.S. business groups. According to the leading U.S. business groups, these trade policies had a huge impact on the U.S. exports and are also endangering their local jobs. Most of these policies come into action in the export of various items ranging from electronics and pharmaceutical products.

The U.S. business leaders have also stimulated this issue to the U.S. President, Barack Obama.  The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has also written a letter of concern to the President stating these trade policies of India as ‘unacceptable’.

NAM officials said, “The government of India is discriminating against a wide range of US exports, jeopardizing domestic jobs and putting at risk a growing bilateral trading relationship worth more than $60 billion last year,” reports Reuters.

In that report, they also said that being a middle-income country, India shouldn’t practice these trade policies and the policies are also forbidding the U.S. imports which in turn is increasing job issues in the U.S.
