Reliance, ONGC Among World's Top 30 Transparent Companies



BANGALORE: Transparency is a measure of a company to prevent it from corruption, malpractices, information about subsidiaries and holdings and key financial information about foreign operations.

And it is really a proud moment for India to announce that among the 124 global companies evaluated on various aspects of transparency, two Indian firms—Reliance Industries and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation were in the top 30 position.

Transparency International, a non-profit organization fighting against corruption and malpractices, gave Reliance Industries and ONGC the 9th  and 26th positions, respectively, in its latest report Transparency in Corporate Reporting. Here is the list of 10 transparent companies

#1.Reliance Industries Limited

Reliance Industries Limited is an Indian conglomerate holding company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Reliance Industries LimitedThe company operates in five major segments, exploration and production, refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail, and telecommunications.

RIL is the second-largest publicly traded company in India by market capitalization and is the second largest company in India by revenue after the state-run Indian Oil Corporation. RIL is ranked at ninth position by the Transparency International making it the most transparent company in India.

#2.Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited is an Indian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Dehradun, India. It is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of the Government of India under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

 It is India's largest oil and gas exploration and production company. ONGC is ranked at 26th place by the Transparency International making it the most transparent company in India.
