India Stands 31 Out of 50 Most Reputed Nations: Survey


BENGALURU: Make in India as a brand is yet to build dominance in the country, so when will it be a global phenomenon? In a country like India, it is highly difficult to reach out the exact message owing to the challenges like illiteracy and poverty. For a country to establish itself as a global brand, it has to first overcome the initial difficulties. It is an immense initiative which lays down broad vision for the country.

Modi’s ambitious ‘Make in India’ and ‘Served From India’ are mere start. Brand IndiaFor India to create an International image it will certainly take intense and constant efforts. According to Walter Lander, a consumer research pioneer who scripted ‘Coca Cola’, though the products are manufactured at a factory, it is the brand name which will remain in mind. If that is the case, India has a long way to go- says Chidanand Rajghatta of Economic Times.

The fast growing world is looking for innovations every single day. India ranks 31st of the 50 countries as per the annual survey carried out by Anholt-GfK. Anholt GfK measures reputation of the countries world over. Germany tops the list overtaking United States for the current year. 

This Study is to measure global perceptions of each country basing 23 different attributes that make up the six overall dimensions on which national image are based. These 6 overall dimensions are exports, governance, culture, people, tourism and immigration/investment.
