India Stands 31 Out of 50 Most Reputed Nations: Survey


As far as manufacturing is concerned, it is part of the export metric that is measured in terms of perception and not volume. If a country makes an important contribution to science and technology; whether it involves innovation and creativity; or it makes one feel good to buy things from that country-are the factors on which a country is rated as a reputed one. Even though India’s GDP is largely contributed by the Manufacturing Sector, it is yet to create a brand image in the global front. In order to get there, it is a bounteous task and vigorous effort. The country has to build up that image by its own efforts.

Neighboring China is ranked 12th in exports, while India stood at 26th. In spite of being the low cost manufacturing superpower it overtook India. Both India and China lose out a great deal in terms of governance, where they are ranked 42nd and 46th respectively. Overall India is the worst performer among the BRICS nations-Brazil at 21, China at 23 and Russia at 25. And on the other hand OECD nations top the list.

In the light of Germany overtaking U.S the survey quotes that, "Germany appears to have benefited not only from the sports prowess it displayed on the world stage at the FIFA World Cup championship, but also by solidifying its perceived leadership in Europe through a robust economy and steady political stewardship.” Germany fared well in other dimensions like 'honest and competent government', 'investment climate', and 'social equality.'

Egypt and Russia downgrading U.S. has definitely reflected in its performance rating. Its role in security and global peace only ranks 19th out of 50 nations. U.S’s competence levels could be the concerning in the coming days.
