Despite Murthy's Return, Analysts Doubt Infosys Turnaround

Bangalore: After the IT major Infosys had been struggling for past two years with its profit numbers, on 1st June the company announced that its founder NR Narayana Murthy will be heading the company again. Murthy’s son Rohan will be the executive assistant, K.V.Kamath will be serving as an independent director and Kris Gopalakrishnan and CEO SD Shibulal will be reporting to Murthy.

Infosys definitely required modification as the fourth quarter figures, declared in April were depressing. Straight away after the results were announced the stock tanked nearly 21 percent, dragging benchmark indices down with it, reports Economic Times.

However, the markets have hinted green signal to the improvement with the stock advancing nearly 8 percent in early trades on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Puneet Wadhwa and Aastha Agnihotri of Business Standard reports though the market have been reverting positive signals, but still analysts are doubtful if Narayana Muthy will be able to turn things around for the company.
