His production house with partnership of his gorgeous wife Gauri Khan, Red chilies entertainment has already produced some of the most successful films such as Asoka, Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, My Name Is Khan, Chennai Express, Ra.One and Happy New Year.

The company also has a visual effects studio known as Red Chillies VFX. He is also the proud co-owner of Kolkata knight riders, the IPL team which has already won two titles in the league. The Badshah’s empire might extend the border of its area wider towards restaurants, cricket, along with other sports items.

The perfectionist of B-town who is known for making strong story based movies Amir Khan is also one among the top paid actors in the country. Like his movies, his production house Amir Khan Productions (AKP) is also doing quite well in the business. Their first movie was 2001 blockbuster Lagaan, which was a critical and commercial success with a nomination for Academy awards in the best foreign film category.

The production house went on to produce movies like Taare Zameen Par, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Peepli Live, Dhobi Ghat, Delhi Belly and Talaash. In an amalgam with DD National and Star India the production also made Satyamev jayate, a television talk show which was hosted by Amir Khan. The show focuses on sensitive social issues prevalent in India such as female foeticide, child sexual abuse, rape, honour killings, domestic violence, untouchability, alcoholism, and the criminalization of politics.
