In 1901King Camp Gillette started manufacturing a safety razor in, United States which he named it as ‘Gillette’. But in 2005, the company merged with P&G (Procter & Gamble) and took control of the operations.

Gillette has a long history of promotions, especially aiming at young men. Their sponsorship includes sports events such as Major League Baseball since 1940s, and the England national rugby league team.
