2. Coca-Cola

The Atlanta-based company was commenced back in 1886 and since then Coke recipe is one of the most protected formulas in the history of food. No one outside the company knows the secret formulae that make the world's most popular carbonated beverage. The slip of paper containing the recipe for Coca-Cola is considered to lie deep within the vault in a branch of the Trust Company Bank in Atlanta. It is said that the recipe contains 17 to 18 components that go into Coca-Cola syrup, the exact proportion of each and the conditions necessary to make it.

3. Tempur-Pedic

It is hard to believe but the story of the Tempur-Pedic mattress begins at NASA. In the early Sixties NASA engineers were operating to develop an object that would reduce the effects of the gravitational forces astronauts have to compete with. They ended up naming the high tech visco-elastic foam that they came up with "temper foam". The formula was later sold to a U.S. based business man who started Tempur-Pedic. The company has been developing new versions of the material but still stick to the original form.
