iPhone Can Now be Charged Wirelessly

GEAR4 has announced the world's first wireless iPhone charger, the PowerPad. The users can now charge their iPhones wirelessly from any corner of the room without connecting it to the main power supply. GEAR4 claims that the wireless system consumes the same amount of time the wired chargers take.

The PowerPad is basically a flat pad that uses inductive charging to power the iPhone’s battery but the phone needs to be sporting a protective rubber case. The company will take pre-orders from November 15, and the PowerPad will be available at Rs. 5,900.
