ViewSonic has introduced the VMP70 direct-connect media player, which makes it easier to enjoy full high definition (HD) 1080p content on a TV or other entertainment system display. The VMP70 supports video and audio formats such as MPEG1/2/4, Divx/Xvid, MKV, H.264, RM/RMVB, DTS, Dolby Digital, WMA, and MP3. It has connectivity options such as HDMI, component, composite, S/PDIF, and duo USB drive slots for optional increased storage space.

The ViewSonic VMP70 ships with an HDMI cable standard and remote control and is now available for about Rs. 6,000 ($129.99) with a promotional holiday offer worth Rs. 4,600 ($98.99).
