“An ability to anticipate business needs, effectively communicate a shared vision and build high performance self-motivated teams has helped me create supernormal value in most of my different roles in career,” believes Subhash Bana, the newly appointed VP- R&D for the India operations of Alcatel-Lucent. Here he will be responsible for driving excellence in engineering performance across the carrier and applications software activities, including better R&D service delivery, quality and innovation enhancing support to the Indian customers. He will also liaise with the business divisions to develop and execute products and solutions for emerging markets.

Bana ropes in over 24 years of experience in the defense, telecom, media and entertainment markets that include stints with Tata Electric Companies, OMC Computers, DRDO and more recently Thomson. His career expedition has been a great learning curve. Being result oriented and team builder, he believes that a leader should work with passion and have immense potential to create strategic visions and enable high-performance execution.

An avid reader of global business models, he loves to keep himself abreast with telecom technology, markets and underlying global socio-economic drivers and is a regular speaker on various industry and educational forums with special interest in supernormal business returns through strategic value positioning and effective human capital management. Balancing the work –life equation, Bana also loves to play sports and socialize with friends and family.
