Having experience spanning over 22 years in the HR domains such as people management, leadership development, and consulting across a diverse range of industries, Murali Swaminathan has been recently appointed as Head - Human Resources at Sonata Software. He will be synchronizing the HR function with the company’s operational and business
requirements.

Swaminathan says, “I am looking forward to implementing global processes to maintain significant focus on what’s most important to our people.” Prior to joining Sonata, Swaminathan held several coaching and senior leadership positions. He was also the Founder and CEO of a startup assessment company providing online assessment solutions. He also worked with various IT as well as non-IT organizations including Perot Systems, 24/7 Customer, SPIC Group, Oberoi Hotels, and Mercer.

Swaminathan believes that being focused on the work he does and the interest to keep himself updated on the technology developments are the key factors behind his successful career. He asserts, “My personal and professional integrity have also played a major role in my career.” He also opines that a leader should be a good mentor to the employees to make them perform excellently. He advises the upcoming techies to stand for integrity, transparency, and passion for excellence - the values that help one achieve the desired goals.

Apart from work, Swaminathan loves to read books and enjoys playing adventure sports. He completed his graduation from the University of Madras and holds an MBA degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
