Mobile application development has become a lively arena today, with the popularity and increasing demand for mobile phones. Research in Motion (RIM), designers and manufacturers of BlackBerry smartphone, is looking forward for talented mobile-based application developers in India. Recently, the company launched a one-day event 'BlackBerry Day' for the application developers in association with SiliconIndia.

The purpose of the event was to educate developers on the profitable business opportunity they can gain by developing applications for the Blackberry and how to get started.

Several companies have entered the field of mobile application development and they are introducing the latest applications. With the growing competition in the smartphone space, the demand for developers who create exciting applications has increased. The mobile developers strive to meet the user demands by designing powerful mobile applications.

According to RIM, if the developer creates an application for BlackBerry they are creating it for over 32 million subscribers in 170 countries. The company sources add that Indian developers have great potential to create super applications and RIM will help them out to make a name on the global front.
