16MP rear and 4MP front Camera

Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor rear camera and a 4MP Qualcomm front camera. It is the first that a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor rear camera has been employed in a smart-phone. It supports features like face detection, Deep Trench Isolation (DTI), and 4axis optical image stabilization etc. which makes the camera functionality even better. DTI is a new technology which can prevent light leak between pixels by providing pixel to pixel isolation. 4axis optical image stabilization feature compensates for camera shakes caused due to shooting while walking. Also, Qualcomm’s Spectra image processor has been installed in the camera for processing the images after it has been clicked.
